Museum of Tropical Queensland is located at 70-102 Flinders Street, Townsville.

• Public Transport

  Catch the Sunbus 1A from the main bus stop on the corner of Flinders Mall and Stokes Street.

  This bus 1A departs at regular intervals from the mall to the Ferry terminal and will drop passengers off at the bus stop located outside the museum on the return journey back to the mall.

• On Foot

  We are at 70-102 Flinders Street, Townsville. The Museum is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Flinders Street Mall. Walk east down Flinders Street Mall until you arrive at the museum.

• By Car

  Head east down Flinders Street, follow the signs at the roundabout to the museum.

  Street parking is available directly opposite the museum.

• Individual Needs

  We have a set down area at the front of the Museum which is wheelchair accessible, as well as disabled toilets, lifts and ramps accessing all exhibitions levels.

  We recognise the Queensland Government’s Companion Card program, and admit carers free on presentation of appropriate identification.
